Wow.
There’s a lot to unpack in week three as the Philadelphia Smoke and San Antonio Snipers earned their second win of season four and the defending champions, the NYC Attitude, got the job done to earn its first, defeating the Houston Hitmen.
NYC Attitude jumped out to a 6-1 lead through the first six rounds against the Houston Hitmen, all setting up for Dusan Veletic’s knockdown against Nigel Williams in the seventh. Velectic’s unique fighting style kept Williams far and away, but he used his wingspan to attack when the moment presented itself. Nine rounds later, Nataly Zempoaltecatl scored a knockdown while facing Jessica Delboni, raising NYC’s score to 16-3 afterward. In the end, the Attitude won with ease, 20-4.
Las Vegas Hustle visited Philadelphia Smoke, but came up short, losing 14-11. Isaiah Johnson for Smoke showed off his speedy hands, defeating Reinier Salgado in Round 6 and Darian Castro in Round 12. Hustle kept it close and competitive. Although it was too late for any comeback, the Smoke held its ground.
San Antonio Snipers’ Obed Bartee exchanged blow for blow against LA Elite’s Raul Salomon during Round 13. Left hand, right hand, back and forth. It’s a moment that defines the innovation TBL brings to the sport — two fighters trading punches with the hope of being victorious after three minutes. Snipers won in the end, 14-11.
That’s the end of week three’s scorecard.
