Scorecard: Knockouts Galore in Week 4

Who likes knockouts?

That’s all week four of Team Boxing League had in every single fight.

The Nashville Smash and the Dallas Enforcers earned their first win of season four, while the Miami Assassins battled through all 24 rounds to grab win number two. All three nights were filled with close bouts, yelling and screaming and lots and lots of exchanges — all hands were flying, nobody was holding back.

It was TBL in a nutshell, it’s why fans are tuning in each week, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Smash was in a tight battle with the Phoenix Fury inside the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. The scoreboard during the launch and middle rounds saw no separation until the 22nd round. Nashville’s Josh Johnson forced Phoenix’s Daniel Bailey to stumble and fall to the ground, a knockdown. Moments after, Johnson swung the dagger — making the referee call it off — TKO. Nashville won

About 24 hours later, in Dallas, Texas, the Enforcers and the Houston Hitmen faced off for another edition of the Texas showdown. The contest was dominated by the Enforcers in the 10th and 11th rounds. Back-to-back knockouts, courtesy of Jack Sambiaku and Briana Carrera. Sambiaku rattled Israel Rodriguez. Carrera sent Travia Pierce to the floor. Both brutal. Enforcers won in dominating fashion, 24-8.

Now, for arguably the best fight of the week, the Atlanta Attack and the Miami Assassins were fighting for their second win. Despite the back-and-forth in points, split-decisions and two knockouts during the launch round, one by Atlanta’s Kaylee Ann Knight and then another by Miami’s Jeovanny Estela, the Assassins were victorious. Yosdiel Napoles protected the lead and knocked out Trakwon Pettis. Miami won 20-14.

Knockouts were the star of week four. What will week five bring?

That’s all for this scorecard, until next time.
