Week one, it was Philadelphia Smoke, Las Vegas Hustle and San Antonio Snipers who all went home with a win on their record.
Week two saw Atlanta Attack, Miami Assassins and Phoenix Fury do the same thing. Nashville Smash, Dallas Enforcers and Boston Butchers entered the losing column.
Similar to how the Snipers dominated in its matchup during week one against the Houston Hitmen, the Attack came out with the same “no mercy” mentality and destroyed Nashville, 27-12. Money Powell worked Shamarr Ravon Baxter against the ropes during Round 14, leading to a knockdown. Those two points were added onto Attack’s total, upping its lead to 19-3.
In the contest between Miami and Dallas, it was Nestor Santana’s right hook of Miami that forced Kenyon Walker to collapse on the ground. The two heavyweight competitors fought with the score sitting at 11-5 in favor of the Assassins, eventually reading 15-5, and for the rest of the way, continued to be positive for head coach Herman Caicedo’s team.
In the Sunday bout, featuring Fury and Butchers, it was a much closer turnout, unlike Friday and Saturday’s fights. The two teams were nearly square until Round 24, as the scoreboard read 14-13, and Kevin Quintero for Phoenix and Hebreux Francois for Boston scrapped and scrapped. Francois went as far as a right-handed superman punch during the final moments, but that wasn’t enough for the judges to swing the scorecard toward Boston’s way. Phoenix protected its lead to cap off a 15-13, nail-biting victory.
Week two’s scorecard is a wrap.
